London Underground

Central line

TfL has apologised for the continued disruption on the Central line caused by an abnormally high number of motor failures across the fleet. Engineers are working around the clock to improve the situation as quickly as possible.

TfL has introduced a new timetable, to minimise unpredictable long gaps between trains.

Separately, due to issues with track monitoring equipment, there are temporary speed restrictions in some locations. Trains may run slower with fewer services to Hainault via Newbury Park. TfL says they expect to remove these restrictions by mid-March.
