TfL Tube: Delays on Circle line, District line and Hammersmith & City line

Three Tube lines were experiencing severe delays on Thursday morning (August 22).

Transport for London (TfL) said the delays on the Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines, largely downgraded to “minor” shortly after 8am, are due to earlier faulty trains.

There were also minor delays on the Central line and planned part closures of the London Overground from Euston and the Docklands Light Railway.

Passengers can check the TfL website before travelling.

Circle line

Commuters faced severe delays due to earlier faulty trains, but minor delays were being reported by shortly after 8am.

District line

Severe delays between Earl’s Court and Tower Hill due to an earlier faulty train.

There are minor delays on the rest of the line. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, South Western Railway, DLR and C2C via “any reasonable route”.

Hammersmith & City line

Minor delays due to earlier faulty trains.

Central line

Minor delays between North Acton and West Ruislip due to train cancellations.

DLR

August 19-28 - no service between Canning Town and Stratford International.

London Overground

August 19-25 - no service between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction.
