Londoners travelling into the capital this weekend could be faced with disruption due to closures on TfL services.

Transport for London (TfL) has asked Londoners to check before they travel this weekend.

Here is the full list of disruptions this weekend, September 8 to 10.

London Underground

Bakerloo line

From Monday September 11 a new timetable will be introduced between Queen’s Park and Elephant & Castle.

From Monday to Friday, morning and evening peak waiting times will increase by around 8 seconds, with a train at least every 3 minutes

Saturday average waiting times before 10am will increase by around 23 seconds, with a train at least every 4 minutes.

Piccadilly line

Saturday September 9 and Sunday September 10

No service between King’s Cross St. Pancras and Cockfosters, including Friday and Saturday Night Tube

A rail replacement bus service will run between Cockfosters and Finchley Central (via Arnos Grove), and between Arnos Grove and Finsbury Park. Night Tube customers should use Night Bus routes N19, N29, N41, N91 or N271.

London Overground

Sunday September 10

No service between Barking and Barking Riverside

Use local bus route EL1 for Barking Riverside.

Monday 11 to Thursday September 14

No service between Sydenham and West Croydon after 10.15pm each night

Use local bus routes. A Southern rail replacement bus service will be running direct between Norwood Junction and West Croydon, also calling at Waddon, Wallington, Carshalton Beeches, Sutton, Belmont, Banstead and Epsom Downs.

Thursday 7 and Friday 8 September

The O2, North Greenwich

The O2 will be hosting Twice in concert from 6.30pm until 11pm each day. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 September

Aldgate/Broadgate areas

The Bartholomew Fair will be taking place from 12pm until 7pm each day. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

Friday September 8

Central London area

The Moonlight 10K Charity Walk will be taking place from 4pm until 7pm, starting and finishing at The Kia Oval, with participants walking along the Thames towards Millennium Bridge. Large crowds are expected.

Saturday September 9

The 10 Bridges Charity Trek will be taking place from 9.30am until 12pm, starting in Bishop’s Park, Fulham and finishing in Southwark Park. Large crowds are expected.

A demonstration march will be taking place in central London from 11am until 4pm, starting and finishing in Parliament Square. Large crowds are expected.

A demonstration march will be taking place in central London from 11am until 5pm, starting at the Pakistan High Commission, moving along towards the High Commission of India and ending in Downing Street. Large crowds are expected.

Trafalgar Square

A demonstration will be taking place in Trafalgar Square from 2pm until 4pm. Large crowds are expected.

The O2, North Greenwich

The O2 will be hosting Peter Kay from 6.30pm until 11.30pm. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

Saturday 9 and Sunday September 10

A10, Bishopsgate

From 0.01am on Saturday 9 until 11.59pm on Sunday September 10, Bishopsgate will be closed in both directions between its junctions with Primrose Street and Brushfield Street for a crane operation.

Richmond area

The Richmond Runfest will be taking place from 6.45am until 10pm on Saturday, and from 7am to 5pm on Sunday. The run will start at Kew Gardens and participants will follow along the Thames Tow Path. A music event will also be taking place in Old Deer Park. Large crowds are expected.

City of London

The London Skyscraper Challenge will be taking place from 9am until 5pm each day at the Leadenhall Building and the Gherkin. Large crowds are expected.

Sunday 10 September

Clapham Common

The London to Brighton Cycle Ride will be taking place from 6am until 1pm, starting from Clapham Common. The first cyclists are expected to leave Clapham Common at 6am and the last are expected to leave at 10.30am. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

East End

The Great East End Walk will be taking place from 10am until 5.30pm around the East End area. Large crowds are expected.

Aldgate area

Filming will be taking place on Braham Street between 12pm and 7pm. Large crowds are expected.

Whitehall area

The Royal Naval Association Biennial Parade will be taking place at the Cenotaph from 8am until 1pm. Whitehall will be closed between Parliament Square and Horse Guards Avenue. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

Central London area

A demonstration will be taking place from 3pm until 5pm at Parliament Square, and is expected to travel towards Trafalgar Square. Large crowds are expected.

The O2, North Greenwich

The O2 will be hosting Busted in concert from 6pm until 11.30pm. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

Wandsworth Bridge closure

Until early October, Wandsworth Bridge will be closed to all motorised traffic. This is while the London Borough of Wandsworth carries out essential safety repairs.

The bridge will be open for walking. If you are cycling, you’ll be able to push your bike across. Diversions will be in place, but all local roads and nearby river crossings are expected to be extremely busy. Bus routes using the bridge will stop north of the river or be on diversion. A40, Hanger Lane Gyratory and Gypsy Corner

Until mid-November, there will be a series of lane closures on the A40 between Hanger Lane Gyratory and Gypsy Corner. This is while utility work is carried out for the HS2 rail project. Delays are expected and you are advised to leave more time for your journey and use other routes where possible. For more details about the works, visit the HS2 website.
