Hide AdPlans are also underway to extend 4G and 5G mobile coverage to the Waterloo & City line and other station entrances and ticket hall areas at Bank station.
The project, which is being delivered for the mayor of London and TfL by Boldyn Networks, is part of a wider rollout to bring high-speed mobile coverage to the entire Tube network by the end of 2024.

All four mobile network operators - Three UK, EE, Vodafone, and Virgin Media O2 (VMO2) - are taking part in the rollout, which has already delivered 4G on sections of the Jubilee, Northern and Central lines.
In the coming weeks, more stations in Zone 1, such as Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus, will start to get mobile coverage, said TfL.

Hide AdCoverage will also be progressing on the Victoria, Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines throughout 2024, as well as along the southern end, and some part of the City branch, of the Northern line.
Around 25% of Tube stations which are ‘underground’ now have mobile coverage.
When combined with Tube stations which are above ground, means that more than two thirds of all stations on the Tube network now have mobile coverage available.
Shashi Verma, Chief Technology Officer at TfL said: “We’re pleased that customers using Bank station are now starting to get high-speed mobile coverage on their phones within the station, as part of the next stage of our project with Boldyn Networks to bring it to the whole Tube network.
