TfL
A TfL spokesperson said on Monday afternoon: “We sincerely apologise to customers who were disrupted this morning travelling to and from Heathrow Airport. An issue following Network Rail signalling work over the weekend caused problems to the Elizabeth line, and an earlier fire alert on the Piccadilly line impacted customers. Tickets were accepted on local buses and we worked to return Elizabeth line and Tube services as soon as possible.”
