TfL is planning amendments and cuts to a range of central London bus services, in a bid to match demand and “deliver better value for money”.

Transport for London (TfL) is gearing up to remove or amend a series of central London bus routes tomorrow (April 29) as part of London mayor Sadiq Khan’s cost-cutting plans.

The changes, which will impact services including the 507 (Victoria to Waterloo) and 11 (Fulham Broadway to Liverpool Street) bus routes, will enable the transport body to “better match demand, deliver value for money and allow us to invest in outer London”.

Below, we list the services due to be impacted on April 29.

What bus routes are being withdrawn?

The following bus services are due to be removed in their entirety:

  • 507 (Waterloo Station to Victoria Bus Station)
  • 521 (Waterloo Station to London Bridge Bus Station)
  • 332 (Brent Park Station to Bishop’s Bridge/Paddington Station)

What bus routes are being revised?

The majority of the bus routes to be impacted around central London are being revised, rather than completely withdrawn.

They are:

  • 16 (To be revised to serve the same stops as the former 332 route, between Paddington and Brent Park, and most of the existing 16, between Mora Road and Victoria Station)
  • N16 (Victoria to Edgware, will be renamed N32)
  • 3 (Crystal Palace to Whitehall, will no longer serve stops between Lambeth Bridge and Whitehall)
  • 6 (Willesden to Aldwych, will no longer serve stops between Hyde Park Corner and Aldwych)
  • 11 (Fulham Broadway to Liverpool Street, will no longer serve stops between Parliament Square and Liverpool Street)
  • N11 (Ealing Broadway to Liverpool Street, will no longer serve stops between Trafalgar Square and Liverpool Street)
  • 23 (Westbourne Park to Hammersmith, will no longer serve stops between Hyde Park Corner and Hammersmith bus station)
  • 26 (Hackney Wick to Waterloo, will no longer serve stops between Aldwych and Waterloo, and will change frequency to run every 10 minutes rather than seven to eight minutes, Monday to Saturday)
  • N26 (Chingford to Trafalgar Square, will be extended to serve Victoria via Whitehall and Victoria Street)
  • 59 (Streatham Hill to Telford Avenue and Euston, will no longer serve stops between Holborn and Euston)
  • 133 (Streatham station to Liverpool Street, will no longer serve stops between Monument and Liverpool Street)
  • C10 (Canada Water and Victoria via Lambeth North, will be re-routed in the Waterloo area, and so will no longer serve stops A, B, C or K near Lambeth North station on Westminster Bridge Road)

Additionally, changes at Bank, Waterloo, London Bridge, Whitehall and Kennington Park Road will affect the local stops serviced by several routes.
