We went to Borough to put people's knowledge of the capital's Tube stops to the test.

The London Metro Memory Game has had many of the capital’s residents desperately racking their brains as they try to name all 416 stations. But how many can you do in 30 seconds?

While the latest game to take London by storm demands a complete knowledge of the capital’s network, with the online map slowly becoming fuller and fuller as more places are identified, there is no time-stamp attached, giving users as long as they want to get to 416.

At LondonWorld, we were however keen to inject a bit of pace into proceedings. So, we headed over to Borough, and quizzed a few people passing by on their knowledge. Here are a few of the results.

Martin - 16

A solid start from Martin, though there was some confusion around a few stations which held him up somewhat. Namely the Strand and New Bond Street, neither of which are stations, and the number of stops servicing Heathrow Airport (it’s three). Overall though, good effort.

Layoung - 17

Particularly strong with the central London stops, Layoung was fairly steady throughout the 30 seconds. A few Overground stations were also thrown in, though we’ll allow them.

Peter - 24

Great work from Peter, who came top with a total of 24 stations in 30 seconds. If it hadn’t been for a brief mind-blank midway through, he would have likely been pushing 30.

So there you go. Not as easy as it seems perhaps, though an unnamed person in the LondonWorld office was able to hit late 20s. Just saying.

If you do end up giving it a crack, especially if you can beat the 30-mark, send us a video of your effort to [email protected], or let us know on social media.
