Jubilee line: Tube commuters told to avoid line due to power supply problem

The Jubilee line is experiencing severe delays this morning following a power supply problem.

Transport for London (TfL) has warned commuters to “avoid” the London Underground line and use other routes where possible.

The Jubilee line, which travels from Stanmore to Stratford, is part suspended as there are severe delays on the rest of the line.

BBC Radio London travel also tweeted that there is no service between Wembley Park and Stanmore.

There are also minor delays on the Elizabeth line between Whitechapel and Shenfield due to an earlier signal failure at Maryland.

Commuters have taken to social media to share their frustrations.

Marion Poynter wrote: “Got up at 4am to catch the first bus this morning. At North Greenwich they announced the Jubilee line is suspended due to a power failure. Nice start to a Monday morning. So headed home after phoning into work to take annual leave.! Thank you TfL.”

TfL said: “Severe delays due to an earlier power supply problem in the depot at Stratford. Please avoid the Jubilee line and use other routes where possible

“Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, the DLR, the Elizabeth line, London Overground, C2C and Thameslink.”

There is good service on all other London Underground lines.
