Elizabeth line: Heathrow Terminal 4 station closed due to ‘security alert’ says TfL

TfL has reported that the Heathrow Terminal 4 railway station closed while staff responded to a security alert.

The railway station at Heathrow’s Terminal 4 was temporarily closed on Wednesday morning due to a security alert.

The alert related to a suspicious package and that the station has since reopened.

Transport for London (TfL) posted on X at just after 10am: “This station is closed while we respond to a security alert. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses via any reasonable route.”

A Heathrow spokesperson said: “Police responded to a suspicious package earlier today. The situation has been resolved.”

The incident lasted about 20 minutes and the airport is now operating normally.
