Rail delays: London Waterloo services face delays and major disruption on St Pancras route

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day after a signalling fault between St Albans and St Pancras.
Passengers on East Midlands Railway and Thameslink could face cancellations or delays on Wednesday December 27.

Hide AdAs at 9.30am, further Thameslink disruption is reported in a separate incident between Blackfriars and Sevenoaks, and there are delays on South Eastern Services.
A signalling problem at Clapham Junction has led to delays between the station and Waterloo.
Major disruption between St Albans and London St Pancras
East Midlands Railway
East Midlands Railway services are impacted between Wellingborough and London St Pancras International, along with Thameslink between Bedford and Rainham/Sutton/Three Bridges/Brighton, and between St Albans and London Blackfriars/Gillingham/Sutton, and also between Luton and Rainham.
A signalling fault between St Albans and London St Pancras International means trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes until the end of the day.

Hide AdA signalling fault between Luton and Bedford is affecting services on the Intercity London St Pancras International/Sheffield/Derby/Nottingham route, and Connect trains. Trains running through the area in both directions cannot run. Customers are advised to check National Rail for alternative routes.
Thameslink
Services between Bedford and London Bridge are disrupted and customers should not attempt travel until further notice. National Rail says earlier disruption caused by multiple signal failures between Cricklewood and West Hampstead has reoccurred. Due to the level of disruption, passengers are advised to delay travelling until later. If you do decide to travel, you will need to use alternative means on some or all of your journey, and you will need to allow an additional 60 minutes to travel.
Disruption between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo
Until midday, disruption is expected between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo. Routes from Between Exeter St Davids, Southampton Airport Parkway, Portsmouth Harbour, Basingstoke, Reading, Dorking, Guildford, Ascot, Windsor & Eton Riverside, Chessington South, Woking, Weybridge, Hampton Court, Shepperton, Hounslow and Clapham Junction to London Waterloo are impacted, and also between Kingston and Clapham Junction.
No Thameslink services between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks
Due to overrunning engineering works in the Nunhead area trains are unable to run between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks. Disruption is expected until 11am.

Overrunning engineering works have impacted services Between London Blackfriars and Orpington, between London Charing Cross and Ashford International/Hastings, between London Cannon Street and Orpington/Ramsgate/Dover Priory, and between Sittingbourne and Sheerness-on-Sea. Trains running through Nunhead may be cancelled and disruption is expected until 11.30am.
