The entire Bakerloo line will be shut over the coming weekend, Transport for London (TfL) has said, with the London Overground and Elizabeth line also among the services to be affected.

TfL is advising passengers to use alternative tube, London Northwestern Railway and local bus services on April 15 and 16, due the closure of the Bakerloo line across its whole route over both days.

The transport body added the 718, 719 and 720 buses will also be available for alternative use.

TfL has been contacted asking the reason behind the closure.

Other services to be impacted include the District line, which will have no trains running between Turnham Green and Richmond on April 16, and the DLR, with no service between Canning Town and Stratford International on either day.

The London Overground will have no service between Watford Junction and Euston on April 15 or 16, Willesden Junction and Richmond or South Tottenham and Barking Riverside on the 16, or between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 10.45pm on the 16.
