TfL: Bakerloo line and London Overground Euston to Watford Junction closures in July and August

During the work, tarins between Euston and Watford Junction will be unavailable for more than a month.

July and August will see closures of stretches of Underground and Overground lines for track and infrastructure work.

The northern part of the Bakerloo line and a length of the London Overground that runs alongside it will see phased closures.

Network Rail will be carrying our work which TfL says will “make journeys more reliable in future”.

The line closures will be in four phases.

During the work, the rest of the Bakerloo line will see a slightly reduced service.

Sunday July 23 to Sunday July 30 - Phase 1

  • Bakerloo line closed between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone
  • London Overground closed between Euston and Watford Junction

Monday July 31 to Thursday August 10 - Phase 2

  • Bakerloo line closed between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone
  • London Overground closed between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction

Friday August 11 to Thursday August 17 - Phase 3

  • Bakerloo line closed between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone
  • London Overground closed between Euston and Watford Junction

Friday August 18 to Friday August 25 - Phase 4

  • Bakerloo line fully open
  • London Overground closed between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction

Additional London buses

During the closures, additional temporary TfL bus services will be available to connect to Jubilee and Metropolitan lines or to get to destinations on the closed sections of the Bakerloo and London Overground lines.

Route 718 Queen’s Park to Harrow & Wealdstone (Phase 1 and Phase 3)
  • Daily, from first to last train times during Phase 1
  • Via Kensal Green, Willesden Junction, Harlesden Town Centre, Stonebridge Park, Wembley Central, North Wembley, Preston Road (walk for South Kenton), Kenton
  • Access to the Metropolitan line at Preston Road station and Northwick Park station (6-minute walk from Kenton station)
Route 718 Stonebridge Park to Harrow & Wealdstone (Phase 2)
  • Daily, from first to last train times during Phase 2
  • Via Wembley Central, North Wembley, Preston Road (walk for South Kenton), Kenton
  • Access to the Metropolitan line at Preston Road station and Northwick Park station (6-minute walk from Kenton station)
Route 719 Queen’s Park to Wembley Park (Phases 1 and 3)
  • During Phase 1: Monday 24 July-Friday 28 July 6.500am to 6pm
  • Phase 3: Friday 11 August and Monday 14 August - Thursday 17 August 7.20am to 9.35pm
  • Via Kensal Green, Willesden Junction, Harlesden Town Centre, Stonebridge Park, Wembley Central
  • Times listed above are approximate departure times of the first/last bus from either Queen’s Park or Wembley Park
  • Access to the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines at Wembley Park station
  • Does not run on Saturdays or Sundays, or during Phase 2
