Bridge Cafe in London has appeared on our screens in The Apprentice for a decade - but is it a real place?

The Apprentice is back on our screens for another year of business battles.

The iconic show which first aired in February 2005 on BBC Two, has gone on to become one of the nation’s best-loved programmes.

The show, fronted by Lord Alan Sugar, quickly became a hit and later moved to BBC One in 2007 due to its growing popularity.

One of the show’s most iconic (and savage) features is the seemingly grotty cafe, the losing team is sent to for a post-boardroom debrief.

The Bridge Cafe in West Acton has been a staple for years and the Radio Times calls it a “certified TV landmark”.

But many viewers have been left wondering if The Apprentice cafe is a real place or just a set used for the hit show.

But we can assure you it is very real and nowhere near as miserable as it appears on the screen.

The typical London caff is actually rated 4.6 stars out of 5 on Google, with one reviewer praising it for its: “Top quality food, friendly service"

Bridge Cafe has become as famous for its breakfasts as it has for its on-screen accolades. It serves traditional fry-ups with all the fixings including black pudding, hash browns, and fried bread.

Troy S said it is the “best eating place near London Bridge. Excellent healthy food. Great service. Nice people. Strongly recommend. The menu has some very interesting choices.”

The nearest stations are West Acton and North Acton, each about a 10-15 minute walk away.

La Cabana Cafe - The ‘other losers cafe’

In recent years, the show has also used La Cabana Café, situated at 36 Cumberland Business Park for similar scenes.

Although it is less recognisable than Bridge Cafe, La Cabana Cafe, was used for several series of The Apprentice with forlorn candidates alternating between the two.

Unfortunately, La Cabana has now closed despite raking in top reviews.
