Thames Water: Thousands left without water in South London after pipe bursts

Thousands of people have been left without water in South London due to a burst water pipe. A water bottle drive has been set up to ensure people have access to clean, drinkable water.

Thames Water has apologised after thousands of people have been left without water in South London.

We visited Sydenham on Southend Lane where Thames Water has set up a water bottle station since yesterday after a burst pipe left thousands of residents in the area without water or with low water pressure.

The incident occurred on February the 12th but as of the morning of February the 13th many local residents are still experiencing low water pressure or have no water at all.

As you can see from the video above people are queuing up to pick up water bottles.

Thames Water has since apologised to customers stating that engineers had located the source of the leak and were working to restore water to customers and fix the pipe as soon as possible.

Now the affected post goes SE19, SE20, SE23, SE26 SE27, and SW17.

Now Thames Water has said they are sorry for customers in Crystal Palace and Sydenham who are experiencing low water pressure or no water due to a burst pipe.

They also confirmed that tankers had been deployed to infuse network with water and impacted properties should see their water supply return over the course of the day.
