TfL bank holiday disruption: Full list of London Underground and Elizabeth line service changes and closures

Here is the full list of planned TfL service changes and closures during the Early May bank holiday weekend.

The Early May bank holiday is almost upon us, and if you’re planning to spend it in the capital, here’s all the TfL service alterations and closures planned for the weekend.

London locals and visitors travelling into the city this bank holiday weekend may be affected by a number of service alterations and closures across the underground.

The Circle, District and Bakerloo lines are just some that are set to have part closures over the long weekend.

Transport for London (TfL) has asked Londoners to check before they travel across the network.

Here is the full list of planned TfL service changes during the upcoming 2025 Early May bank holiday weekend:

London Underground

Central line - Minor delays

Expected delays between Leytonstone and Epping / Hainault via Newbury Park on Saturday following a faulty train at Bethnal Green.

Circle Line - Part closure

There will be no service between Edgware Road and Tower Hill (via Victoria) on both Saturday and Sunday.

District line - Part closures

There will be no service between Edgware Road / Embankment and Kensington (Olympia) / Wimbledon / Richmond / Ealing Broadway on both Saturday and Sunday.

Jubilee line - Minor delay

No service expected between West Hampstead and Wembley Park while emergency services deal with a casualty on the track on Saturday.

Metropolitan line - Minor delay

No service expected between Wembley Park and Aldgate while emergency services deal with a casualty on the track on Saturday.

Piccadilly line - Part closure

On Saturday between 1am to 7am there will be no service between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town.

Bakerloo - Part closure

No service between Queens Park and Harrow & Wealdstone on Sunday and Monday.

Waterloo & City line - closed

There are no Waterloo & City line services on Saturdays, Sundays, and bank/public holidays.

Elizabeth Line

Between 12.40am and 7.40am there will be no service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway on Sunday.

DLR

Between Saturday and Monday there will be no services between the following stations:

  • Canning Town and Stratford International
  • Westferry and Lewisham
  • Poplar and Lewisham

London Overground

Lioness line - Planned closure

No service between Euston and Watford Junction on Sunday.

Suffragette line - part closures

No service between Barking and Barking Riverside and a reduced service between Gospel Oak and Barking on Sunday and Monday.

Windrush - part closures

No service between Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction, Crystal Palace, New Cross and West Croydon on Sunday after 9pm.
