TfL has said strike action by ASLEF is expected to ‘significantly impact Elizabeth line services’.

What stations are impacted by Elizabeth line strikes?

The planned strike action would result in no services running between Abbey Wood and Reading/Heathrow, including the section of the railway from Paddington to Abbey Wood.

On 27 February and 1 March, a significantly reduced service is expected to run between Liverpool Street National Rail station and Shenfield, with no service before 7am and last services running from 6pm.

These services will not call at Maryland, Manor Park, Forest Gate and Goodmayes stations.

How to get to Heathrow Airport during Elizabeth line strikes

Customers travelling to or from London Heathrow Airport should consider using the Piccadilly line to complete their journey.

If travelling on Elizabeth line services during the early morning the day after these strikes, customers are advised to check before they travel as there will be some disruption to services.

Planned DLR disruption

No other TfL services will be impacted by strikes, but some will be busier than normal, particularly the Jubilee, Central and District lines.

On Saturday 1st and Saturday 8th March, there will planned works on other lines, including the DLR.

Other ways to get around London

TfL said: “Customers should consider alternative routes, allow extra time for their journeys, and check before they travel. Some customers may also want to consider alternative transport options, including walking and cycling, with Santander Cycles available in central London, and e-scooters available for hire in some London boroughs.”

Howard Smith, TfL’s Director of the Elizabeth line, said: “Talks are continuing, and we urge ASLEF to suspend any industrial action whilst these are taking place. We encourage ASLEF and MTR Elizabeth line to continue talking to try and resolve this dispute and avoid impacting our customers with strike action.

“If the strike action does go ahead, customers are urged to check before they travel, allow extra time for their journeys, and check the TfL website or the TfL Go app for the latest travel information.”
