TfL to install more CCTV at London bus stops to help 'women and girls feel safer'

Transport for London (TfL) has announced it will install CCTV at 15 bus shelters across the city.
It is hoped it will improve passenger safety, particularly for women and girls - enabling them to “travel with confidence 24 hours a day.”

Hide AdThe technology will be trialled for 12 months in areas with high footfall, crime hotspots, and places where people have reported feeling unsafe.
The Metropolitan Police will be able to access live footage from the cameras, helping officers to prevent and detect crime in the capital.
The cameras that are integrated into the shelters will retain recordings for 31 days to support any police investigations.
