Tommy Robinson will lead the UK’s ‘biggest-ever’ free speech rally, which includes a march through central London. The anti-fascism group Stand Up to Racism will be holding a counter-protest on the same day.

The two groups are calling for the protests to be peaceful and free from violence.

The Met Police has been contacted for comment on the procedures in place to prevent disorder.

With such vast numbers of protesters flocking to the city, many will be wondering what the weather has in store. Will it be a rainy rally? Or will the sun shine over placards?

After days of relentless rain across London, Saturday (13th September) is set to be sunny with a gentle breeze.

According to BBC Weather and the Met Office, no rain is forecast to fall in the capital on Saturday. Meaning protesters will be able to march without the need for an umbrella.

Temperatures will remain between 14 and 18 °C throughout the day.

Sadly, the same can’t be said for the rest of the weekend as heavy rain and wind return to London.

The BBC Weather forecast says: ”Saturday is expected to be mostly dry with sunny spells and patchy cloud. On Sunday, it looks to turn very unsettled and windy with heavy and prolonged outbreaks of rain pushing in from the south. On Monday, it will continue to be windy with strong gusts. Further spells of rain in the morning, clearing to sunny spells later on.”
