Renée Zellweger has been spotted filming snowy Christmas scenes in mid July in London for the new Bridget Jones movie.

Local shops on Flask Walk, Hampstead, were temporarily closed on Friday July 19 - while the Oscar-winning actress was filmed running down the street.

It was decorated to look like a Christmas scene - with snow on the trees and fairy lights hanging from above.

Hampstead resident Ruslana Rachynska, 33, noticed the crew setting up when she wasn’t able to grab her usual morning coffee - because the cafe had closed for filming.

The content creator said: “The whole street was filled with Christmas trees and decorations.

“When I arrived, they were covering everything with snow.

“It was clear that something was being filmed.

“A man working there told me he couldn’t disclose what the film was - but mentioned they’d be filming until 11pm.”

After getting home from work, Ruslana discovered Renée Zellweger was filming with a little girl, who will likely be playing her daughter, Mabel.

“Renée was filming with a little girl in a dress,” Ruslana said.

“I’m guessing that’s her daughter in the new movie.

“In this scene, they were running down the street towards a food truck.

“A live band at the end of the street was playing Christmas music.

“They filmed this one scene for several hours - but I didn’t see any other actors joining them.”
