King Charles pays tribute to His mother, Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the anniversary of her death.
Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral Castle on August 8 2022, aged 96.

Hide AdShe was the longest-lived British monarch and the longest-reigning British monarch, reigning queen and female head of state in the world.
Her death saw an outpouring of grief in the UK and overseas and the United Kingdom went into national mourning for ten days.
Millions watched her state funeral, which was attended by royal family members and state figures from across the globe.


To mark a year since His mother’s passing, King Charles issued the following statement.

Hide Ad“In marking the first anniversary of Her late Majesty’s death and my Accession, we recall with great affection her long life, devoted service and all she meant to so many of us.
“I am deeply grateful, too, for the love and support that has been shown to my wife and myself during this year as we do our utmost to be of service to you all.”
An image of Her late Majesty captured at Buckingham Palace on October 16 1968, as part of an official sitting granted to Cecil Beaton has also been released to mark the anniversary of her death.
It is expected the family will privately remember the former helm of the family with their own remembrance.
