Prince William and Kate attend moving Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph in London

Thousands gathered in Whitehall to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday, with emotional tributes paid to veterans and fallen soldiers.

Thousands of people turned out in Whitehall yesterday (Sunday, November 10) for the annual Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph.

The service, which takes place on the closest Sunday to Armistice Day, each year, was attended by royals, veterans, and politicians.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were among those to attend the service. Prince William laid a wreath at the Cenotaph, while Catherine watched on from the balcony with Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

King Charles III, also attended the event in central London.

Chelsea Pensioners and veterans also paid their respects at the annual service and travelled with the procession.

A myriad of politicians including Kier Starmer and former Prime Ministers, Boris Johnson, Tony Blair, and Rishi Sunak, attended the event.
