The chain says it will take on 250 new staff and information on how to apply will be released in the coming months.

Kari Rodgers, Primark Retail director UK, said: “After setting out an ambitious investment plan a few months ago, it’s exciting that we can now reveal another one of the stores set to benefit.

“We’re looking forward to extending our offering at Westfield and giving shoppers in Stratford even more of the great style and incredible value they love the most.”

The announcement forms part of Primark’s planned £140 million high street investment, which will see it create at least 850 new jobs and increase its space by more than 160,000 sq ft over the next two years.

Primark has already committed to opening at least four new stores over the next two years – with Craigavon opened in December, and Salisbury, Teesside Park and Bury St Edmunds to follow.

It is planning refurbishments to existing stores as well as the relocation of some stores including Bradford and High Wycombe.

The chain plans to continue to grow its partnerships and collaborations, including WornWell by the Vintage Wholesale Company, which has opened in Primark stores in Birmingham, Manchester and London’s Oxford Street, and Tasty by Greggs cafés, which opened in Birmingham and London last year.
