A person has died after being hit by a train at Bank Underground station in central London.

British Transport Police were called to the Tube station at 12.07pm on Sunday July 21 after reports that a person had been hit. The person died at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team.

“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“Sadly, a person died at the scene.”
