Jeff Brazier has posted a heartbreaking tribute to his ex-girlfriend Jade Goody, who died of cancer 14-years-ago.

Jeff and Jade began a short-lived relationship when they met in 2002. The couple went on to welcome two children; Bobby and Freddy.

Despite splitting up five years before her untimely death, the Dancing on Ice alumni called Jade “charismatic” and “loyal” in his latest tribute.

The father-of-two wrote: “14 years ago today. Hard not to feel flat.

“The boys losing the most loving and protective mother any child could have hoped for at such a young age will never not feel ridiculously cruel.

“The most charismatic, loyal, inquisitive, adaptable and switched on person I’ve known.

“Her strength lives on in her children and I wanted to take a moment to honour her this evening and share that with you.

“One highlight from today though, I took Fred for a trim at @haychembarbers and shortly after walking in we were greeted by the song ‘Rose Garden.’

“Not one you’d expect to hear too often but it was the song Jade sung on stars in their eyes. Fred caught the significance and it was a wonderful moment that proves she’s with them all the way. And on we go x”

As a result of the publicity surrounding Jade’s cancer, the government health ministers agreed to review the National Health Service policy not to screen for cervical cancer until age 25 in England.

A week before her tragic death, she issued a press release saying that she was "immensely proud" to have prompted the review - however, the age never changed.

Jeff, whilst married to Kate Dwyer, featured in Channel 4’s Jade Goody: The Reality Star That Changed Britain. The three-part documentary about Jade’s life was released in 2019.

Bobby, who is now 19-years-old, joined the cast of BBC’s EastEnders as Freddie Slater in September last year. He also modelled for Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week.

What has Bobby said about his mum’s death?

Bobby was only five-years-old when Jade died, and as a teenager he admitted he only knows his mum through “other people’s memories”.

The actor and model told The Times: "I’m always being told about her and what she meant to people. I guess I know my mum through other people’s memories of my mum."

When asked by the publication if he misses the reality star, the 19-year-old replied: "I don’t. Because I don’t feel like I was with her long enough to miss her."

However, earlier this week, Bobby made a touching reference to his mum - Jade Goody - as he posed in a double denim fit on Instagram.

He wrote: ““Genes on his side, god in his heart and goody as his guide.””
