Dancing on Ice contestants faced ‘Prop Week’ which saw the celebrities skate with items such as a surfboard, an airport trolley and a double bed.

As the show progressed, the skate off between Carley and her skating partner Mark Hanretty and Siva Kaneswaran and his partner Klabera Komin took a dramatic turn.

As she skated towards hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she shared that the routine had been “painful” for her with Mark confirming her shoulder had popped out.

Holly Willoughby looked worried as she asked the actress: “And you just popped it back in? Okay, we’ll get a medic to take a look at you now.”

Despite dislocating her shoulder, Carley was unfortunately voted off the ice skating competition by the four judges, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse.

Christopher Dean said: "The skate off is always do or die and tonight there were some mistakes," after Ashley and Oti voted to save the The Wanted singer.

Jayne Torvill finished off a clean sweep for the musician after she voted to save Siva and Klabera.

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the shock elimination with one person tweeting: “We loved watching you both each week and gutted to see you go. Hope your shoulder is ok Carley? You had a tough week training and went out and performed amazing. Be very proud.”

Another said: “Personally it’s right result for me. Although they’re an amazing pairing, their performances

tonight left me slightly underwhelmed. Quite a few mistakes were made.

With a third person adding: “Did feel sorry for her & performing with a nasty injury. Should have been Molly in the dance off, she’s well behind the rest !”

It was revealed in the pre-skate video that Carley had spent most of the week rehearsing with a different partner after Mark was left ill and unable to skate.

The celebrity contestants faced the skate-off after a shock announcement from Phillip Schofield that Dancing on Ice would face a major change next week.

"And this is the first time they have all heard that,"
