Harry Kane has announced that he is expecting his fourth child with wife Katie, just one week after becoming England’s top striker of all time.

The Tottenham Hotspur forward, 29, posted a polaroid picture to Instagram showing he and his childhood sweetheart posing with another positive pregnancy test.

He announced the exciting news to his 14.2 million followers yesterday (29 March) evening, writing: “Over the moon to be expecting baby No.4! Coming soon… ❤️”

The social media post, which has over 400,000 likes, also included a video where you can hear the couple’s three young children guessing what they think they can see in the baby scan.

Six-year-old Ivy thinks it’s a boy and four-year-old Vivenne guesses a girl, whilst two-year-old Louis suggests “it’s a car”.

Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen, former Tottenham Hotspur star Robert Keane and former New York Giants footballer Michael Strahan were among those to comment.

Whilst the Tottenham Hotspur official Instagram page also left a message of congratulations for their striker, who wears the number 10 shirt.

Kane officially became England men’s all-time record goalscorer, after scoring his 54th goal against Italy in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers on Thursday 23 March.

Prior to this, he was joint top with retired footballer Wayne Rooney, who scored 53 goals for England in 120 appearances.

Kane and Rooney are the only Three Lions players in history to have crossed the 50-goal threshold for the England national team.

Behind them is Bobby Charlton with 49, Gary Lineker with 48, Jimmy Greaves with 44 and Michael Owen with 40.

At the time of writing Kane has scored 55 goals from 82 national appearances, after scoring again in the Euro Qualifiers against Ukraine on Sunday 26 March,

Kane has played for Tottenham Hotspur since 2010, scoring 271 goals in 425 club appearances.

His club career total is 287, after short loan spells at Leyton Orient, Leicester City, Norwich City and Millwall.
