Brooklyn Beckham slammed for making ‘thick’ pancakes as he challenges dad David’s flipping skills

Brooklyn Beckham challenged his dad’s pancake flipping skills on Shrove Tuesday, but followers were quick to criticise the thickness of the sweet treats.

The 23-year-old son of footballer David Beckham posted a video to Instagram showing him flip a sizable pancake as he celebrated Pancake Day.

Brooklyn, in response to an earlier social media post from his dad, wrote: “@davidbeckham but could you do it with your eyes closed ❤️🙈”

David, 47, replied: “I couldn’t do it with my eyes open 😂 looks a good pancake 🔥”.

However, other Instagram users complained about the thickness of Brooklyn’s sweet treat. One wrote: “That’s not a pancake that’s too thick”.

Another added: “That’s not a pancake it’s a bloody cake!!!”

A third commented: “Looks more like an omelette lol”.

Whilst another cruel Instagram user wrote: “Can’t even do a pancake right”.

The video came just two hours after David posted a pancake flipping video on his Instagram, which featured his wife Victoria Beckham.

In the short clip, he flipped the pancake on to his chest, like he would a football. The former England captain wrote: “Told you I Still got it @victoriabeckham ⚽️ 🥞 #Pancakeday 💛”

The size of Brooklyn’s pancake is not the first time that he has been slammed this week. Yesterday, Lorraine Kelly discussed the details of his wedding to Nicola Peltz on her ITV show.

Brooklyn and Nicola, 28, tied the knot in April last year, during a lavish ceremony at her fathers estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

In Tuesday’s episode of Lorraine, journalist Lucie Cave spoke to the host about the disagreement between the Peltz family and the wedding planners.

Lorraine, 63, said it sounded like “the most utterly joyless wedding”.
