£3,000 worth of food and hygiene products were stolen from the food bank

A Peckham food bank has been left reeling after it was ransacked by thieves overnight.

According to reports, £3,000 worth of donations, including food and hygiene products, were stolen from the South London food bank.

Southwark Foodbank, which is operated by Pecan on Peckham High Street, was targeted by thieves on Sunday morning (September 8).

Met Police confirmed they were called to the building on Monday morning following a report of a burglary. No arrests have been made.
