Oasis reunion: 10 iconic photos of the Gallagher brothers in London during the 90s

As Britpop legends Oasis announce their reunion tour next summer we’ve taken a look back at photos of the band in the 1990s.

The Gallagher brothers who have seemingly reconciled after their long feud, announced the news of their tour on social media on Tuesday August 27.

The tour, scheduled for summer 2025, includes dates at London’s Wembley Stadium, as well as Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Dublin. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday August 31, and fans are already anticipating the struggle.

There are rumours that the brothers may also be lining up for a once-in-a-lifetime Glastonbury reunion.

Oasis quickly became one of the UK’s biggest bands ever after bursting onto the scene in the 1990s, rising through the ranks to hit the top of the charts and eventually play one of the biggest standalone headline gigs the country has ever held.

Oasis’ highly-anticipated return comes as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album Definitely, Maybe which would go on to sell over 8.5 million copies worldwide.

Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991 under the name of Rain with a line-up that featured bassist Paul McGuigan, guitarist Paul Arthurs, drummer Tony McCarroll and singer Chris Hutton. The now-legendary Liam Gallagher would go on to replace Hutton as lead vocalist, at which point the band changed their name to the famous moniker.

The band officially split in 2009 after an altercation backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. 15 years later the Gallagher brothers appear to have rekindled their relationship with the announcement of next year’s tour.
