Met Police: Officer charged with sexual assault while off off-duty in a bar

The charge relates to an investigation into a report that a woman was sexually assaulted at a bar in Kingston in February 2022.

A serving Met Police officer has been charged with sexual assault, the force has confirmed.

PC Emeri Ratucoko was charged by post on Monday, May 30, with sexual assault and a public order offence.

The charge relates to an investigation into a report that a woman was sexually assaulted at a bar in Kingston in February 2022.

PC Ratucoko, who is attached to the Central West Command Unit, was off-duty at the time of the incident.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 28.

PC Ratucoko has been placed on restricted duties while criminal proceedings are ongoing.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “In his role he has no face to face contact with the public and no involvement in the investigation of sexual offences.”

He was charged as part of an investigation led by officers from the Met’s South West Command Unit.
