Man rescued from fire at care home

Firefighters battled to save a man from a blaze at a care home.
The man, who was treated by paramedics, was rescued from the fire in a bedroom at a residential care home on Eastwood Road, in Goodmayes, Ilford.

Hide AdThe London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called at 11.46pm on Sunday, November 28.
Three fire engine and around 15 firefighters from the Ilford and Dagenham fire stations attended the incident.
They tackled the small fire wearing breathing apparatus and the blaze was under control by 12.10am.
While the man who was rescued was treated at the scene by crews from the London Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for the LFB said: “The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.”
