According to research from Go Compare, financial worries are affecting how Brits are planning for the festive holiday.

Hide AdOver 35% of Brits have decided to make ‘tough decisions’ to cut their Christmas budget this year.
A further 8% of people admitted they will spend money they don’t have to fund travel, gifts and food throughout the festive season.
But how are Londoners feeling about Christmas this year? We ventured out onto the twinkle-light-covered streets of the capital to find out...
One Londoner said: “Our outgoings and bills (including council tax and mortgage) are all going up, so we’re trying to be really really careful with Christmas this year.”

Hide AdAnother said they have always considered how much money they spend at Christmas. Adding she ‘rarely buys gifts’ so when does she likes to make sure they are ‘nice regardless of the cost’.
