London weather: 'Heavy thundery showers' forecast for the capital this week
Londoners should prepare for a washout weekend and thundery downpours
It’s set to be a wet week here in London and across the South East.

Major forecasters are predicting days of rain and sporadic thundery downpours.
The BBC is forecasting thunderstorms in the capital today (3rd June) starting at around 3pm.
While tomorrow (Wednesday) will be dry in parts, the end of the week is expected to be a washout.
The Met Office has said the region can expect “heavy, thundery showers and persistent rain at times on Thursday.”
According to the forecast, London will experience three days of rain from Thursday through to Saturday evening.
Those attending events in the city this weekend, such as the first Lido Festival, should come prepared with ponchos and sensible shoes (it can be slippery on the underground!)
Temperatures are expected to remain in the high teens and low 20s this week in London, so while it may be wet, it should also be warm.
The downpours will bring a welcome break for hay fever sufferers in the capital as the pollen count drops from very high to medium.
