‘It’s a bit weird but I’m down’: London shoppers react to naughty Christmas gift idea
Christmas shoppers on Carnaby Street have gone viral after being quizzed on whether they’d buy their partner an adult entertainment experience this festive season, with many Londoners admitting they’d be more than happy to unwrap something a little naughty.
London’s Christmas shoppers have officially proven that not everyone wants socks and candles under the tree.

A roaming reporter has been stopping festive passers-by on Carnaby Street to ask a cheeky but straightforward question: would you buy your partner an adult entertainment experience for Christmas? The answers ranged from awkward laughter to full-throated enthusiasm.
Content creator Olivia Berzinc caught dozens of shoppers off guard, with many admitting they’d be perfectly happy gifting something a little spicier than the usual last-minute fragrance set. “I’m down for any experience,” one shopper shrugged, while another declared: “I’d be quite gassed, to be fair.”

Others were more hesitant. A mother-and-daughter duo shut the idea down immediately with a firm “no, never”, while another man admitted it was “probably not for me”. Still, the overall mood leaned curious rather than scandalised.
The vox pops tie in with new research from Spearmint Rhino, which found that more than half of Londoners would consider buying their partner a membership to an adult entertainment venue this Christmas. Younger adults were the most open-minded, with nearly two-thirds of 25 to 35-year-olds saying yes, compared with just 13% of over-55s.

Clips from the interviews have been shared on Instagram, where Berzinc boasts more than 170,000 followers, quickly racking up views and comments.
Certified sex educator Casey Murphy says couples comfortable with gifts like this are often “ahead of the game”, adding that playful, consensual experimentation can be a sign of honesty and confidence in a relationship.
