Some boroughs (e.g., parts of Croydon, Newham, or Hackney) have higher crime rates, but these often involve gang-related issues that rarely affect residents not involved.
Petty crimes like pickpocketing, especially in crowded tourist areas (e.g., Oxford Street, Camden, stations like King’s Cross or Victoria) are also rife.
