The full statement said: “Following the recent tragedy in Itaewon and the period of national mourning across South Korea, K.FLEX are deeply sorry to announce the cancellation of our November 20th concert at London’s The O2.

“We know our fans will be disappointed, as are we, but we truly feel it’s the right decision, and our thoughts and prayers remain with those affected.”
David Ciclitira, chairman of Live Company Group, who were bringing the show to London, said: "Having personally visited the scene of the tragedy I do not believe that staging a K-pop event at this time is the right thing to do.”
The Korean government declared a national period of mourning to last until November 5. All entertainment events and shows have either been cancelled or postponed. It was the worst disaster in South Korea’s recent history. More than 80 per cent of the dead were in their 20s or 30s and 11 were teenagers, the South Korean Interior Ministry said.

Lee’s agencies, 935 Entertainment and 9Ato Entertainment, both confirmed the star’s death in a public statement. “We are sad to deliver such news today, but Lee Jihan has passed away in the crush in Itaewon last night.”
“We would like to express our deepest condolences to his family, who are saddened by the sudden tragic news, also to everyone who loved him,” the statement continued.
Lee’s agency also said he was “a sweet and warm friend to all” who had a “bright smile” and “passion for acting.”
