The Israel-Palestine conflict has been violently reignited after militant group Hamas launched a multi-front attack on Israel from Gaza.

Hamas fired thousands of rockets at Israel, while armed fighters entered the country - killing civilians and taking others hostage. In response, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared they were “at war” and launched air strikes at Gaza.

At the time of writing, more than 1,400 Israelis and over 2,800 Palestinians have been killed. At least six British people are among those dead, prime minister Rishi Sunak said in the House of Commons earlier today, and 10 remain missing.

Amnesty International and other human rights organisations are calling on all parties to the conflict to abide by international law and make every effort to avoid further civilian bloodshed.

Here is a list of organisations Londoners can donate to to support victims caught in the crossfire of the fighting.

The International Red Cross provides assistance during times of crisis, and has pleaded for an end to the violence between Israel and Palestine.

“In our role as a neutral intermediary, we are ready to visit anyone detained so we can check on their well-being and provide news to their loved ones,” it said.

Doctors without Borders

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is donating medical supplies to hospitals and health facilities in Gaza.
