Heathrow Airport was partially-evacuated this morning for the second day running, after a suspicious bag was investigated by staff.

Photos online show hundreds of people standing outside the Virgin Atlantic and Delta building in Terminal 3, just a day after Terminal 4 was evacuated due to a man causing a disturbance on a train.

The incident has since been stood down, and passengers have been able to return to the terminal.

It is understood there was no impact on Heathrow’s operation.

On Sunday (October 8), a British Airways flight from Barcelona was evacuated at Heathrow after four people were taken ill from reported “fumes”.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said “multiple” people were assessed at the scene before being discharged.
