Greene King launched the campaign after research by OnePoll found 64% of Brits have a best friend, and more than 60% describe their dearest mate as a “legend”.

Will Hemmings, Greene King’s brewing and brands marketing director, said: “According to our data, a pint of beer is the best drink to enjoy with a best mate, so we feel it’s only right that our customers can enjoy a free Flint Eye or Level Head with the legend in their life.

“Both of these award-winning beers are available in hundreds of pubs across the UK so, wherever you are, make sure to nominate your very own legend and treat yourself, and them of course, to a free pint!”
