Speed restrictions have been introduced on the automated Docklands Light Railway (DLR) after engineers discovered the trains were going too fast on some sections of track
According to the BBC, the speed limits were brought in after TfL engineers found there wasn't enough of a safety margin between the speed of the trains and the maximum recommended speed.

Hide AdMost sections of the DLR have been slowed by 5kmph following safety concerns, raised by a routine signalling check.
Posters have appeared outside stations, explaining to passengers that "some small reductions in train speeds on sections of the DLR network have been implemented as part of an ongoing review of DLR's signalling system".
