He has also been charged with taking a vehicle without consent, handling stolen goods, going equipped to steal, driving without insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.

On Saturday (January 21), the 26-year-old appeared in custody at Willesden Magistrates' Court, where he was remanded to appear at Harrow Crown Harrow Crown Court on February 17.

An investigation was launched after police were called at just before 6.30am on December 27 by the London Ambulance Service to reports that someone had been shot at the junction of West Green Road and Grove Park Road.

Nobody with injuries was found but they checked nearby hospitals and at around 6.50am were able to confirm that a 24-year-old woman had been taken to a north London hospital without help from emergency services.

She has been discharged following treatment.
