TfL Elizabeth line: Rail worker 'attacked' on rush hour platform

British Transport Police is looking for a man in connection with a reported assault on a rail worker on an Elizabeth line platform.

A rail worker was assaulted on an Elizabeth line platform, say police, who have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak with.

British Transport Police (BTP) says the worker was assaulted at Whitechapel Underground station.

The force said in a statement: "The incident took place on the Elizabeth Line platform on Wednesday November 8 at around 6.35pm.

"The member of rail staff was walking along the platform before he was punched in the back of the head.

"The victim was taken to hospital as a precaution but did not require treatment."

BTP said: "Detectives would like to speak to the man in the image as they believe he may have information that could help their investigation."
