Stratford: Midnight shooting leaves man in life-threatening condition

A man was shot late at night on Monday in Stratford, near West Ham Park, and the Met Police has launched an urgent appeal for information.

A man shot in the middle of the night in east London on Monday (January 22) is in a life-threatening condition.

The Met Police was called at 11.59pm to reports of a shooting in East Road, Stratford, which is near West Ham Park.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with a gunshot injury and remains in a life-threatening condition. Police say his family have been informed.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward.

Detective Inspector Mat Freeman said: "We know that when this happened there were members of the public and vehicles driving nearby at the time.

"Did you capture anything on your phone, or on your dash cam if you were driving?
