Police hunting two men who sexually assaulted a man in his 60s in a Greenwich park on New Year’s Day

Detectives are appealing for information and asking anyone in the area with a security camera or doorbell footage to come forward.

A man in his 60s was sexually assaulted by two men as he walked through a Greenwich park just after midnight on New Year’s Day.

Police are appealing for information to try and trace the attackers - and have asked residents to check doorbell footage.

Scotland Yard said the victim was attacked and sexually assaulted by the two men as he walked through Briset Park, Eltham on January 1.

The attack - which happened in the park metres away from a children’s playground - was reported to police later that day.

Detectives are appealing for information.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Were you at Briset Park just after midnight on New Year’s Day?

“Do you live in the area and perhaps have a security camera or doorbell footage of two men in the area at around midnight?”
