A 63-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in her home on Valentine’s Day with a single stab wound.

Hide AdThe suspect was arrested on Friday and has been released on bail as the investigation continues, Scotland Yard announced today.
Naomi Hunte, 41, was named as the victim by the Met Police after she was discovered with stab wounds in her flat on the evening of February 14.

Hide AdNeighbours said they heard a woman screaming the night she was found dead.
A spokesman for the Met Police said today: “Detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Greenwich have arrested a man.

Hide Ad“Naomi Hunte was found dead after police were called to an address in Congleton Grove, at 8.25pm on Monday, February 14.
“A post-mortem examination took place on Wednesday, February 16 at Greenwich Mortuary and gave cause of death as a stab wound.
“A 63-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, February 18. He was subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.”

Hide AdJoy Oga, 34, paid tribute to Ms Hunte, adding: ‘’She was beautiful but her beauty was hidden by all the problems she had.
“It is heart-breaking to hear about something like this happening here.
‘’Last night I could not sleep, all I was doing was thinking about it. Living here is not safe.’’
