Oxford Street stabbing: Arrest made after man knifed to death in central London
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
A man has been stabbed to death in a road just off Oxford Street, in central London.
Met Police officers, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to Poland Street at 11.40am this morning (Monday, August 15) to reports of a stabbing.

Hide AdA man, who is yet to be identified, was found with stab wounds.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services he was pronounced dead at 12.20pm.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
A London Ambulance Service (LAS) spokesperson told the Guardian: “We were called at 11.36am today to reports of a stabbing in Poland Street, central London.

Hide Ad“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first paramedic arrived in less than seven minutes.
“Despite the best efforts of our teams, the patient sadly died at the scene.”
Poland Street is a side road off London’s iconic Oxford Street, which is one of Europe’s busiest shopping districts, and close to Soho’s thriving nightlife.
