Kensington: Murder investigation launched after elderly man dies in Earl's Court

A murder investigation has been launched after an elderly man was killed in Kensington.

The Met Police were called to a disturbance at a property on Longridge Road, Earls Court at 3.06pm on Sunday March 17.

Officers attended the address where they found the 78-year-old victim. Officers conducted CPR until the arrival of London Ambulance Service, but the man died at the scene.

Police say a post-mortem examination will be held in due course and the man has not been formally identified.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was taken into custody where he remains.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our deepest condolences are offered to the family and all those who knew the victim.

"While our investigation remains ongoing, we are not seeking anyone else at this time."
