A serving Met Police PCSO has been jailed for witness intimidation after telling a woman involved in his own harassment case he knew where she lived.
PCSO Mohammed Zaman was off duty when he met the woman - who was a victim in a harassment complaint at the time - in a shop.

The 28-year-old then told her he and his friends “knew where she lived” to intimidate her, the Met Police said.
This was reported to police and an investigation was launched and PCSO Zaman was arrested the next day on March 25 last year.
He was charged with witness intimidation last April 15 and suspended from duty.

At Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Zaman was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison after he was found guilty following a trial at Willesden Magistrates Court earlier this month.
Ch Supt Sean Wilson, in charge of policing for Ealing, Hillingdon and Hounslow, said after the sentencing today: “The actions of this officer have undermined the trust and confidence that people have in our organisation.

“His actions are not representative of the standards of behaviour that we expect from our employees and we will always investigate those who do not meet those standards and hold them to account.”
Now that criminal proceedings have finished, police misconduct proceedings will take place, the force said.
Zaman, of Hounslow, west London, worked in the West Area Command Unit of the Met Police, which covers Ealing, Hillingdon and Hounslow.

The original harassment accusations he was accused of were discontinued by the CPS.
