Hunt for wanted man after ‘traumatic’ rape of woman in Seven Sisters

Police have launched a manhunt after the “traumatic” rape of a woman in Seven Sisters, in north London.

The Met Police have released a photo of a man they want to speak to, after the victim, in her 30s, was approached by a man on West Green Road, north London, in the early hours of Saturday.

They walked to Houghton Road together before the victim was raped, and the suspect then fled towards West Green Road, Scotland Yard has said.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses and have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the crime.

DC Daniella Biggins said: “This was a traumatic ordeal for the victim and we are doing everything we can do support her and bring the perpetrator to justice.

“We are very keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images we have released and we would ask anyone who can identify him to come forward.

“We believe he can help us with our enquiries into this offence and we wish to speak to him as a matter of urgency.”
