Police release image of man after 17-year-old girl sexually assaulted on Lewisham bus

A man approached a 17-year-old girl on a top deck of a bus and persistently tried to hug and kiss her in an alleged sexual assault.

Police have released an image of a man they’re working to trace following the incident on a south London bus at 12.20pm on Tuesday, August 2.

The teenage girl was sitting on the top deck of a route 122 bus between Wearside Road and Lewisham Fire Station, when a male passenger is alleged to have repeatedly approached her.

The victim managed to push the man away and he got off the bus. The girl told her mother and the police were alerted.

Officers have released an image of a man they want to speak to.
